DoD RFID Resources
DoD RFID requirements are invoked by DFARS clause 252.211-7006 which defines conditions that require the use of passive RFID tags and RFID smart labels to track pallets and cases as they move through the DoD supply chain.
These RFID Tags operate in the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) RFID Range and must conform to EPC Class 1 Gen 2 standards. They are encoded according to DoD standards. Each DoD RFID Tag has a globally unique serial number to facilitate tracking. The distinct contents of any container that is RFID tagged must be identified by the contractor at the time of invoicing on the WAWF using its serial number.
This page provides access to official documents, software, hardware, supplies, and pre-printed RFID Tags. Here you will find costs and pricing. The EasySoft website also explains how DoD RFID requiremetns relate to Mil-Std-129P, Mil-Std-130, UID, and the Wide Area Workflow - WAWF.
