Each UID label complies with Mil-Std-130 is specific to a unique physical product can be purchased in any quantity from a single label up to tens of thousands of labels.  The UID labels should be applied to a flat clean surface as soon as tracability is required.  In some instances these labels may be applied while the item is not yet a finished good. Since these labels are required to last the life of the product, they should be specified by the design and quality activities of the contractor and included in drawings and bills-of-materials.

EasySoft's pre-printed UID labels are fully compliant with Mil-Std-130 as contractually referenced in all master solicitations by DFAR 252.211-7003.  They include the data matrix 2D barcode, which contains the base data-elements that make-up the UII.  The UII is the long-string serial number which ensures that the serial number is globally unique.  The UII may contain no more than 50 characters.

The UID's are linked to a contract by the contractor at the time the Receiving Report is created on the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF).  At that time, the contractor ‘packs’ (keys-in) the UII serial numbers in the shipment.  Additionally, the UIIs are to be 2D barcoded and applied to all packaging layers and packing lists as referenced by Mil-Std-129p Change 4.

With each order of UID labels, EasySoft will:

- Print the UID Labels in the selected dimensions and format

- Visually inspect the UID Labels against defects in workmanship

- Perform automated machine verification and quality grading, against a sample in the batch

- Include a Certificate of Conformance for the labels

- Include a UID worksheet for the labels

- Send an email with an Excel Worksheet and Quality Report

- Ship the order that same day (if the order is placed by 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time)

WHEN ORDERING: 

The UID data elements when combined into a UII serial number should not exceed 50 characters in width. The only special characters permitted are "-" (dash) and "/" (forward slash.) UID characters should consist of letters A-Z and numbers 0-9 (do not use the letters "O" or "I").   The "-" and "/" characters are not permitted as the first or last characters of the string. The use of special characters in data elements will cause your order to be rejected.

The serial number of a string should not exceed 30 characters. The original part number of a string should not exceed 32 characters. The enterprise identifier string should not exceed 13 characters.  When using CAGE Code for the enterprise identifier, the UII is preceded by the letter D which counts as 1 Character.  These four items shall not exceed 50 characters in total when combined.  If your order contains more than 50 characters in the UII, the order will cause your order to be rejected.

MATERIAL QUALITIES

EasySoft's UID labels meet the specifications required for products whose useful life is spent indoors.  Face stock is a gloss polyester material with a permanent acrylic adhesive.  This material has good resistance to household cleaners, mild acid, oil and water. Exterior, all-weather life is up to three years. Service temperature range is -40°F to +302°F. Minimum application temperature is +50°F.  EasySoft uses only Zebra Technologies high-performance UID-valided materials for label stock and thermal transfer ribbons.

2D DATA QUALITIES

EasySoft's UID labels include a data matrix that meets ISO 15434 standards for formatting and data identifiers as required in Mil-Std-130.  Where linear barcodes are employed, the EasySoft UID labels include Code 39 barcodes that meet ISO 16388 standards for barcode formatting as required in Mil-Std-130.
